Roll'x King
Owona Etoundi Victor, professionally known as Roll'x King, is a Cameroonian producer, singer and songwriter. Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon on March 17, 1986, Roll'x and his family would relocate to the United States only three years later, where he spent his formative years before returning to Cameroon at age 12. The son of a music lover, his early influences were Rod Stewart, Jean Michel Jarre, Michael Jackson, Johnny Hallyday to name a few -- all artists his father was fond of. After returning to Cameroon in 2001, Roll'x quickly made a name for himself in the high school he attended through his ability to perform popular American songs for his classmates without skipping a beat. Years later, he left his teaching career and began his trek towards his first love: music.
He went on to become one of the most popular producers and creative directors of his generation in Cameroon, even establishing his own label called Evu Sound Records. He has worked with some of Cameroon's music scene's heavyweights; namely Lady B, Valsero, Maahlox le vibeur, Z-Tra, Lady Ponce, Duke Z to name a few. He is the brainchild behind the scores of the feature films "Caller ID: Unknown" (Nomad Est. 2000), and Without Judgment (Vicky K entertainment), respectively. His debut album tentatively titled "Love & Evu" is in the works, and presently scheduled for 2024.
